I researched people in history who really made a difference for the society. I found out they were mostly men. This time it was time to thank the women behind these important men, their wives.

Project Peanut

Together with Koen Evers and Ferry de Gier we designed a window of a small peanutshop in Rotterdam. The shop owner was about to retire in 6 weeks. The design counted the days untill the last day the shop was open, by stripping a couple of lines a day. Slowly a message appeared and was fully readable by the last day saying: "Genoten" "Genieten" (Enjoyed Enjoying).

Redesign a shopwindow or logo for a small shop in Rotterdam.

Desiderius Erasmus

DesideriusErasmus was a memorable citizen of Rotterdam. He wrote 'De Lof der Zotheid' and it is his

most famous work about all kinds of human absurdity. He accounts people for their sense of

respect and responsibility for fellow human beings and their surroundings.

In reaction to the uncontrollable urge of the city of Rotterdam and forget about some things

that really matter (like the statue of Erasmus, that was moved to a hidden square),

I made a small newspaper about Erasmus and his city that's being overruled roughly.

Take a look and move over to the next view, like there are no borders at all.

But in real life being a part of the view with your feet on the ground, for some people, it's not that easy

to leave a country. Or stay in one.
